So what is the difference between the Bosch professional 21L and the Bosch Highflow 21L models? Noting that you can get every Highflow model in an equivalent Professional.

The quick answer is, the packaging!

In New Zealand, depending on the distributor or where you may buy your Bosch instantaneous gas water heater, the packaging and even name of the model may change. In an ever changing and increasing competitive industry manufacturers consistently seek methods to achieve savings that can be passed onto the consumer, which in this case is YOU!

The Professional model, comes in a “builders box” with less colors, stickers and excessive packaging. Ultimately reducing the cost to the distributor to purchase the product. This makes the merchant / distributor more competitive achieving more savings for the consumer. In other words, THE HARDWARE IS THE SAME.. its just less “pretty” packaged. These units have been given the name “Professional” to represent professional industries such as builders and plumbers that purchase these units in a “bulk” fashion.

Is there a disadvantage to you? Absolutely not! On the contrary, the professional series are more readily available and offer unique easy packaging that allows the installer to get on with the installation much quicker saving you costs on labour!
